



Background
Paul Bagdan has been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. In that time, he has worked in areas of quick-service, full-service, and catering. He is proud to have risen from a dishwasher to Restaurant Manager. His background includes resorts, hotels and restaurants. He currently lives in East Providence with his two boys, Sam (10), and Luke (7).
He has earned an A.O.S. and an A.A.S. in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, respectively, from Schenectady County Community College. He went on to receive a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, a Masters of Science in Hospitality Service Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Foodservice and Hospitality Management from Kansas State. He is a Certified Hospitality Educator (C.H.E.) and both a Certified Food Safety Trainer and Responsible Alcohol Service Trainer for the State of RI. He has recently been promoted to the rank of Full-Professor and is in his ninth-year teaching at The Hospitality College of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. He also teaches as adjunct faculty in their M.B.A. program.
